Ok, so can anyone give me tips about expecting chicks from a broody hen?

I got a feather up my butt and decided that I would let my little broody hen sit on some eggs, thinking that they most likely wouldn’t hatch and she would stop being broody

. Another chicken raiser I met said she does this and the hen gives up in a week or so. "However, her eggs are not fertilized like mine. *Slap myself*

; I don’t have that kind of luck. So I candled and they are doing well and she is such a proud little fluffy butt of a mother.

My question I guess would be how do you treat a broody hen and her chicks? Is it close to the same setup as a brooder? Do you feed the hen starter feed as well as the chicks?
Any tips would be welcomed because I think I got in over my head.

But on the bright side my little fluffy butt is such a happy little mom and they haven't even hatched yet

I guess its basically the same as a brooder except the hen is the heat supply :)

Just give them food and water and the mama does all the work :)

She will be fine on the starter. Enjoy :)

I am so excited. I can see why this is so addicting.

I still have about a week and a half to make sure everything is set up for her and doing as much research as I can.
