Broody hen and low egg production

my question is will having a broody hen in a nesting box decrease egg production? Our coop has 3 nesting boxes we have 4 other layers other than miss broody we are averaging 2 eggs per day. The 2 that are not laying at Americanas. Im sure time of year and weather is affecting this also. But still curious about the brooding having an effect.

Your broody hen will of course stop laying, but the others are not affected by her. The shorter days and molts will decrease laying.
