I have a 6 mo. old bantam hen that went broody about a month ago, sitting on two eggs. I removed the eggs and every day for about 3 days, I had to take her off the nest. Then she would eat and drink and after 3 days, seemed to get over the broodiness. Last week I noticed her in the nest again. I took her off, but no egg. I've been doing this for about a week now. She will eat and drink, but just keeps going back to the nest. So I am going to put her in a wire cage tomorrow, but wondered about her not laying any eggs. I've felt around as best I could, but cannot feel anything. Would she keep going broody and staying broody without laying anything? Should I take her to the vet? She is eating and drinking and seems to feel fine, just broody. Help! I've only had bantams for about two years now and never had this problem before. Thanks.
