Hi fellow chicken tenders! I bought my broody hen 8 fertile eggs. Only one hatched (she happily adopted 2 naked necks I got from my local town and country store - 3 babies total! All doing wonderfully) The one that hatched came from a blue egg, and I noticed she has little feathered feet! Any ideas on what she could be? I'm terrible at guessing. LOL. Thank you so much!

Probably a mixed breed.

With the blue egg, the mother is likely to be an Easter Egger, or maybe Ameraucana or Cream Legbar.

I'm guessing the feathered feet came from the father, who might be Cochin, Brahma, Silkie, or some other breed with feathered feet.

You can count toes, look at comb type, and watch whether it grows a muff/beard on the face or a crest on the head. All of those could be clues about what breeds might be involved.

Of course, the parents might themselves be mixed breeds, so the chick could have traits from more than two different breeds.
