Broody hen hatched eggs during winter

So we've had a hen that's been broody for a bit now but with the cold weather we didn't think she would be able to hatch them.... Well we were wrong she and her chicks have now been moved into a dog kennel in the laundry room till the chicks get a little bigger. Early Christmas gift for us!

Provided with a dry, draft free coop hens are capable of raising chicks in the winter. At least good mothers are.

Our coop is a bit busy and open front. She had already lost 2 chicks to the cold so we decided to move her inside to recover her strength after being broody and to give the chicks a chance to get larger before being added back to the coop.
