Broody hen help!

Hello,

I have a broody hen who has been sitting for more than 2 weeks now... I've been given some fertilized eggs but don't know wether it's too late to stick them under here or not... Please help! OR, could I entice my Silkie to become broody so that she can sit on them? Thanks!!

She might set another 3 weeks or she might quit part way through. Brooding can be debilitating so keep an eye on her if you try this. Make sure that she and the nest site do not become infested with mites. Also make sure that she gets off the eggs daily to eat, drink and walk around.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on her. What if she does quit half way through? Then why should I do? Would my Silkie go broody if I stuck eggs under her?
