The chick should be fine then. Is the egg's temperature the same all around it and have it hatched anymore since moving it? For the egg, it might be best to ensure there's no drafts getting to it, even if it's the air itself. Do you oppose to using your own body heat to hatch it? Putting it directly against your skin and cupping a hand over, against it until it hatches might be best. (My mom has done this on a few of my hatches and we had success.)No more chicks under hen. Just these two. No injuries. I got it in time. The 2nd chick is working on getting out. Ive got a towel on top of the heat pad. Its set on low. Right now they are in a box on my kitchen table. Brooder plate set up nicely. I have a nice cage inside the coop that Ill transfer them to later. This is chick number one.
