Im at 6 chicks-1 I think has spraddle leg0the 6th popped out this am-I think thats it from the nest of eggs but I will hold out another day or two "just in case" had to tell the DD about her hen last night-she had been at a friends house-poor thing got so upset she was spitting up and couldn't catch her breath and took forever to go to sleep-ahhhh I cant wait to trap that chicken killer!

Oh, good luck on catching your predator and on your hatch. I know first hand the trickiness of those dang predators!! I have a son who was quite sad after a young (not laying yet) hen got injured and we tried to nurse her back to health, but eventually she had to be euthanized. He was heartbroken. Give your daughter a hug for me.
