:Ok so as title says we've had a broody girl sitting on a nest. So only had guinea eggs under her as I thought I was going to have other eggs to give her but didn't. I knew those keets should be hatching soon and told DS to check on her because we'd have to move her (nesting box is moveable) to a safe area. He came running back inside with both eggs, 1 in midhatch. She had decided to leave this nest and move into the 1 next to her with no eggs in it.
Both keets hatched inside under heat lamp and are in a small box inside the larger brooder with other chicks. Haven't tried to give these keets back to her to raise, but she isn't leaving the nest box. I'd love for her to raise these babies, but I'm afraid she doesn't want anything to do with them which is why she left in the 1st place. Like she got 1 look at what was hatching from those eggs and was like
Anyhow, since she has already sat for so long I need to find a way to get her out of the nest. Suggestions?
