I have 2 hens that are broody right now. I swapped the eggs under one of them for fake eggs. What will happen when they don't hatch? Will she abandon the nest at some point or should I give her real eggs? I have 10 chicks right now and I'm worried about how everyone is going to get along, I have one adult rooster, 9 hens (2 are broody) abd 10 chicks currently occupying the broody pen, I was planning to kick the chicks out of there before the first hen hatched her eggs and move her and her eggs in there but now I have a second broody hen (sitting on fake eggs) what to do?

You can either break them of their broodiness OR get some fertile eggs to put under them you don't need many. Let them fulfill their motherhood duties so they will be at peace with their inner hen. Swap out the fakes for real at night. You should also partition off a safe area for both broodies to keep the rest of the flock from harming the eggs or attacked later chicks.

Anyway that is what I would do. You could get any breed eggs.

So I have a cream legbar rooster and both hens now have eggs under them. I have all different kinds of chickens so I'm going to get mix breed chicks unless some of the eggs are from my cream legbar hens. Can two broody hens be happy together in one brooder enclosure? I will have to kick my Chicks out. They will all be big enough in a few weeks I think. Right now the broody hens are in the upper nesting boxes

will they continue to interact with the rooster to get fertile eggs and lay a clutch or will they stop laying? They both have other chickens eggs under them. One of them i took her egg yesterday and I think she layed a new one but it wont be fertile unless she had gotten up and interacted with the rooster so I don't even know what to expect.
