Broody Hen ?s

Hello Everyone,

I have had a broody hen for maybe a week now. My questions are these:

1. Can I still add/swap the eggs under her?

2. If she hatches a few chicks, do I have to protect the chicks from the rest of the flock?

3. Anything important I need to know?

1) not a good idea, because after the first one hatch she will abandon the other ones.

2) YES!!! Once the first one hatches, move her and the chick and the eggs to an isolated/protected spot.

3) Have fun with the hatching - it so cool to come home and find a baby chick!!!
