Broody Hen - Spring must be on it's way!!

Our Silkie went broody last month, so we stuck 5 eggs under her (3 EE and 2 Orps), sadly only one chick hatched (EE / Silkie cross) I love the coloring and can't wait to see what this cross produces. I brought the baby into the house due to the weather and her being the only baby in the hen house (too much unwanted attention from the other ladies

) Well I went back over the next morning and that Silkie hen had stolen 2 EE eggs

and was guarding them with a passion. So I stuck 1 more EE and 2 Orps under her. Is this wrong to do to her?

Anyone else who has set eggs, join on in and share in the excitement!!!

Oh yes springs on its way!

I had 2 broodies last month hatch chicks, And while my family and I went to town we could smell a skunk, springs a comin!
