Alrighty so I moved my broody girl tonight. I will take pictures in the morning. I figure I'll see how it goes.
I was wondering though, how much will she eat and drink?
Also - can I put small eggs under her? She is an EE. I have a bunch of serama eggs that would hatch much better under a broody, but they are small like quail eggs.
Cool! I'm mostly concerned that she will squish the eggs or the baby chicks since they are so fragile. It should be fine. My friend gave her buff Orpington 20 game bantam eggs and twelve hatched.
she might accept quail sized eggs remember she constantly moves them around with her beak I would try I have used broody hens to hactch everything from ducks to turkeys it's funny when they are out and about behind moma ducks scratching like chickensAlrighty so I moved my broody girl tonight. I had a friend of mine who let her duck hatch out chicken eggs.
