Yea. I got a few breeders then 8 more 1/2 grown so I sell anymore that are hatched. I do have some more in the incubator as well as a few hatched yesterday so I am Good----LOL.well, I'm sure you will have plenty of hatching in the future, so plenty of time to refresh the broody pool!
It could happen! With my hens they normally all go broody before they reach 1 year of age!Will Hen get broody within their first year generally?
I have been thinking of building some hatching pens myself. Do you have any suggestions or pics you would like to share? I was planning on designing it to go inside the coop with the other hens. Are you're hatching pens completely separate structures from the hen house?
I have a hen hiding eggs and hatching them right now.. I can't have more chicks, but I can't find the hen.. I just find a broody hen poop every day. She'll have been on the eggs for 2 weeks on Tuesday. If she successfully hatches the eggs, when do you think she'll leave the nest w/ her babies?
