When you cross black with splash, the result is always blue. There is about a 50% chance that the chick will be frizzled. I have a black cochin/ silkie hen. She is a favorite here and an excellent mom. I'll try to get a photo of her today.

Black or blue I don't care! I'm crossing fingers to frizzle or sizzle. But really I just want a healthy hen!!!! Yes please post a pic!

I'll be happy with black or blue (or purple for that matter). Frizzles are my favorite. It would be cool to have a sizzle some day, but mostly we're crossing fingers for a HEN!

Egg number 2 hatched!. Still haven't seen the babies yet, but Breezy kicked the egg shells out and both were zipped and clean inside.

I forgot to post but my cochin hatched out 6 babies they are 4 bantams and two I would say medium because they are a mix of americauna and my chocolate orpington bantam roo will get pictures soon
