I had a little but of a mishap with my hen. This was her first year laying. She had a total of 15 eggs before she decided to sit on them. Went on vacation 5 days later she was only sitting on 4 eggs. (100% sure he ate them) came back out a day later and she was down to 2 eggs. Here's the question I have. I took them two eggs and placed them in the incubator. They were suppose to hatch yesterday on the 23rd but no sign of cracking to hatch or anything the eggs are moving inside so they are alive. I put them on the "lock down" status did I do right? Do I keep waiting.. not sure what to do. Do I need to still turn them since I'm not sure of the age? When she started laying non stop on then the date of 28 days would be thr 23th

Candle them daily. When they internally pip you can put them in lock down. Your hen likely did not stop laying the day she started being broody.

I'm not sure what its suppose to look like when they internally pip. Tried looking up YouTube videos and can find any good ones for turkeys. Alot of ducks and chickens but their eggs are alot clearer to see.
Here's a couple videos maybe you can tell me more about it.

Don't search for videos. Search for candling pictures that show internal pips. An internal pip is going to look pretty much the same whether it is a chicken, duck, goose or turkey egg.

@Kiki has some good shots of eggs drawing down and internal pips.
