Broody hen too hot?

Hey guys, so we have a hen that turned broody on us, and we decided to just let her sit on her eggs and see what happens...we have one chick so far and two more working their way out! My concern is every time I go out to check on her she seems very hot...panting and has her wings held out from her...it's pretty hot here in east Texas today and not much wind blowing through the coop like normal...how can I keep her cool while she's sitting? She won't leave her nest, and if I try to move her she gets VERY agitated...I've already tried to get a fan out there and the coop is just too far from any plugs to reach even with extension cords...

I agree with getting a fan out there is a great start. Give her watermelon, ice water with some nutri-drench.

You could try spraying water in the vicinity periodically until you can get a fan organized.

A little cold watermelon would be good.
Cool water is good but not ice water.

This might work if climate is very dry...but don't get nest wet.

Hens will sit and hatch here in the 100's F.
