Broody hen?

We have a hen who has been sitting in the egg box for a long time. She does not appear to be leaving the box at all. I'm worried that she isn't getting enough food or water. Her comb has turned light pink instead of red. She gives us dirty looks when we open the boxes but she still lets us take the eggs.

Does she growl at you when you remove the eggs? What does she do if you lift her out of the box and put her in the run?

All day and all night too?
Do you want her to hatch chicks for you?
