You shouldn't have taken it away from Bambi. At night, slip it back under her. Breaking out of an egg shell is very difficult, and the chick may look stuck, but it was probably doing all right. Chicks that cannot break out, and get help, will usually be weaker. If they cannot overcome this first hardship, hardships in life will be very difficult for the chick later in life. Just wait until nighttime and slip it back under mama.

The chick is not doing very well.I put it under my heat lamp inside,it seems a little better.

The chick is doing awesome! I just put it in with my other 4 chicks,it seems to be getting along good with them.

The chick is now out in the coop with the other chickens. It looks like a barred rock cockerel.
