Broody hen

Got two Rhode island red hybrid, one gone what I think is broody, she laid an egg now won,t get off it, unless I show grapes, once finished straight back on, no cockerel involved, help she losing weight

Sounds broody, no cockerel needed.

Wow, how long has she been like this already to be showing weight loss? Time to employ the broody breaker... essentially a wire bottomed, elevated cage with no bedding.

And I (personally) would ONLY provide high protein treats like egg, tuna, or meal worms... for the amino acids, since she is already showing condition loss. Grapes don't have much in the way of nutrients or micro nutrients, though they ARE yummy.
