Broody hen?

Hi all,
I have a frizzle named Crackle, and over the past week, she has been sitting in her box with the other hens surrounding her. When I go up close to the other hens, they seem like they are in a trance and don't acknowledge that I'm there. I'm getting the eggs out at the moment, after a lot of pecking, but I don't know what to do now. Can anyone help?

Sounds like Crackle went broody and the rest followed suit! I've heard that one broody can encourage others.

Hahaha yeah. Do you reckon that it's ok to leave it, or do I do something about it?

Honestly I’m not sure.. if you want Crackle to hatch some eggs, maybe you could move her to her own separate area and then keep taking the others off the nest and see if it snaps them out of it? Others might have better ideas.

Yeah sounds good, I'm not sure if my family wants chicks yet but maybe keeping Crackle away from them for a while might help. Thankyou!
