My silkie hen, Rose, was broody and my sister gave me two duck eggs. So Rose hatched out one of the eggs on Tuesday and she is the very proud mama of one appleyard duck. She has been a great mama. I noticed when I picked her up to give her a little attention that she seemed to be drooling. I have watched her and she seems maybe to try to feed her baby duck from her mouth. I didn't notice any regurgitation. What is going on? She seems fine and is eating and drinking.
