Broody hen ??

I have a Light Sussex pullet, just laying about six weeks. Recently she spends the morning sitting on the eggs in the nest box , then decides she has enough of that and goes to join the other girls. Is this likely to continue ? she is still laying so im not sure is she getting into broody mode or what ? I don't want her getting broody so should I sin bin her or ignore for a bit and see will she forget about it.

It is interesting that she is still laying. So my guess would be that she is not fully broody yet. I'd wait and see what happens like you said. I have a bird that likes to sit on others eggs too but she has never gone fully broody yet. Like you mentioned mine looses interest after awhile and goes her way. She had never became fully broody yet. My hen that did go fully broody never had much interest in others eggs.I'd just keep a watch on her. Its possible that she won't go broody at all.
