I have a mama hen who has three chicks.

The chicks are four and a half weeks old. Mama's getting tired of the small enclosure. I'm not sure if the chicks are old enough to be with the other chicks (with mama). What do you think I should do?

Welcome to BYC!

X2 They are good to get out of their enclosure as long as momma is there with them. I am sure they are anxious to stretch their wings.

Enjoy your broody and her babies and welcome to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X3 what Mountain Peeps said, the chicks should do fine in the flock with mama there to watch them if they haven't been where the flock can see them, if not, you probably want to introduce them behind wire for a while again.

Glad you joined us!

Thx you guys! I moved them out today and they are doing great behind their bigger enclosure. It's in the coop so the chickens can get a good look at them. Some of them seem to be saying "I want some!" Thx again!
