Hi we have started our Turkey coop with one year old wild
400
Turkeys 2 Jenny's and three Jakes or so we thought but now a month I think we have 3 Jenny's and two jakes the one jake has really grown looking very gobbler like
The one question that I need to ask is in the last week or so one hen has made a nest in the little house under the ramp and two days ago noticed 28 eggs and one main hen behaving broody smile.png. Hissing and not leaving the eggs much
Do you think all eggs are hers ? I plan on candling them in a week to see if they are fertile
And should we separate the toms ( jakes) to help the broody hen hatch the eggs if fertilized ?
Only one jake has developed into a juvenile Tom the other hasn't would that mean we have 4 hens and one Tom ? I've attached pictures
There's also a hen with no feathers on her neck what should I do about that

Other than the one that looks like a tom mid gobble.. all the rest look like hens.

Hens are known to share nests so all the eggs are probably not all one hens.

With her hissing and not getting off nest she's broody.

If the tom is not trying to mate her while on the nest I would probably leave him in til poults start to hatch
