Tax; I can’t put my finger on the issue but I am a bit worried about Piglet. She felt the heat more than the bigger girls (strange) and is a bit ‘off’ today. Hope she will be OK.

The other chickens are very quiet. I just brought them more frozen veggies in water. Nobody else is panting or in visible distress.
Nosy Posy has taken the mantle of treat-giver and lookout.
Yeti jumped on my leg when I squatted down to cry in the run.


I checked, Breezy did not have gapeworms (his breeder was worried that was the case)

It was 29c yesterday evening…

It’s 17C at the moment and rain. I am sure the chooks and horses are appreciative of the cool down.

Sorry to hear this. This heat has been miserable; doesn’t surprise me that there are some poor sweeties passing away with this heat.
