The only thing that breaks my broody hens is chicken jail. Put the broody girl in a wire cage as soon as you notice they’re going broody. The cage should be off the ground so that air gets under her booty and she’s uncomfortable. Usually takes 3-5 days depending on stubbornness. I do let my girls out at snack time and put them right back in the cage if they’re still showing signs of broodiness.
