Myself and my partner are in need of a broody hen or maybe 2-3! We have one already that is "expected" to go broody, but if you happen to have one go broody on you in the Birmingham (UK) area and you would rather not raise some chicks we will buy the hen from you and let her fully indulge in her broodiness without trying to break it!
We don't use incubaters, so broody hens are very important to us - problem is no one seems to care about this around here! They all use incubaters and sell commercial breeds that just dont go broody any more. Rubbish!
Requirements are:
We can collect in the Birmingham area.
Like I say, we already have one expected to go broody - so this is just a feeler in case anyone suddenly has a broody hen they dont know what to do with.

- Will be ultimately joining a large fowl flock so MUST be a large or at least Medium sized chicken breed (NO SILKIES ETC)
- ANY AGE - we don't mind even if we only get one more year out of her, if she is broody right now we want her! (although older chickens are expected to be cheaper)
- Must get on with other chicken breeds, we have currently Light Sussex, Sussex Ranger, RIR and Speckled/Rock.
