Have tried several things for broody hens but have had no success. The temp is 100' each day here in Texas and since then several of my ten hens are setting(?). Don't have a rooster and don't want one. I have put the sitters in small cages to discourage sitting and have even given them cool water baths to lower their temp. They keep going back on the nest and disrupting the rest of the layers. They are free to roam the pastures, barn, etc after we open their barn/coop ever morning.
Is there a feed or med I can give to get them out of this behavior? Open to suggestions.

No feed or meds to break broodiness. How long have you isolated them from the nest site? It takes days, perhaps weeks to break a broody. Short isolations from the nest site accomplish nothing.
