Has anyone else had this happen? I have tried getting our broody little silkie off of the nest multiple times a day, but she gets back on after eating/drinking. She is all puffed up and makes a scary noise (well it would be if she weren't so little and not scary

) Any ideas? I have tried just putting her in another nesting box, but she likes the favorite box too & goes right back.

We did get three eggs today. I think they must have kicked out our broody blue silkie to do their business (although she is second in command of the girls & she is our smallest hen), but she was sitting on them. If I put her in a broody cage will she return at the same level? I don't want her to get picked on. Maybe I could put the broody cage inside the coop where they can all see her?

I have had luck un-brooding mine by simply taking that particular nest away. It does get the other ones all in a flutter but usually they just pick another nest to use.
