Broody in Feb!!!??

I think I have another BO going broody. She was on the nest ALL day yesterday while everyone was outside. I took the 2 eggs from her, but she quickly tucked the golf balls back under her. She went off last night, but I think she's back in the same box today. I've started collecting turkey eggs to put under her when she is ready. I hope this works. I REALLY want some Bourbon Red poults.

seems like the BO's are the way to go for Broody's . wowzas.

my two that went broody are BO/white leghorn crosses, so that mothering instinct is strong.

12 days to go here for my next batch.

Well- my grand total is 3 bobwhites and 47 chicks in 2 weekends.

Then I reset the bator yesterday and some more for my friend today. (she ran out of room in her bator) and I'm waiting on a shipment to come in the mail.

What will you do with all those chickens? Congrats, btw!

I plan on keeping some for laying hens, the BLRW for sure for breeding, and a couple because they are cute.

My broody Silkie hatched out 3 of 8 eggs as of last night. I am hoping for more when I go out this morning to feed them.
I will get some pictures when she lets them come out to play.

Hi everyone. I've been wanting to get some pics of my little ones. They are almost 6 wks old and are soooo cute. The bad thing is, I can't get them to go outside. They are perfectly content in the barn. Silly chicks... I'll try again today. I think I only have 3 cockrells out of 10 chicks. Yeah!!!!
