Congrats!!!!!!!! Your birds look so warm and cozy. I just got back from the barn and am chilled again. Birds are fine, I'm just tired. Your pics helped to warm me up. Thanks.

Ok, kids (11 and 12 yr olds) went to feed for me this morning and noticed a egg out of the nest. They thought they would be helpful and brave the ruffled feathered momma and save the egg. But to no avail they said it was cracked and empty. So I bundled up and went to check her gave her some extra feed and felt the eggs, they are warm but it is hard on the momma, I can tell. We shall see how this goes.

Well-after all the fiasco this morning, I ended up giving Louise (my original broody) a bath. She was bad! Dried her and put her back with the others. She kept on bawking and going nest to nest. She seemed much better after that bath. So....I decided to put the eggs back under her. And I gave Lucy (my second broody) some golf balls. I hope that she stays on them now. They are to hatch tomorrow!!!!! Talk about a day to pull my hair out.

I don't know. Hopefully I get at least one. But now I have "them there doubts".

I won some eggs in the auctions yesterday. White Orps. They will be mailed tomorrow. I should have them on Thursday. But this time I am not taking any chances. I have asked an other BYC member who's near me to put them in her bator. She has agreed.

But if these eggs hatch, I might THINK about giving Lucy ( the back up) 3 eggs of her own to hatch. She really does deserve them, after all this.

They are ALL here, all 4.
Chance
Miracle
Lucky and Dot.

I will get some more pics when mom lets them out to play.

I beseech the great chicken in the sky to watch over this hatch and make things go smoothly. Please be with these little fuzzy butts and give them the strength they need to make it to there new home.
