broody jersey giants

Hello everyone i was wondering if anyone has had any luck with broody jerseys , one hen hatched 2 chicks last month and I now have a second hen sitting and should have a hatch anyday now. I read jersey eggs take longer to hatch and that they are bad sitters ( because their eggs are larger and they are clumsy ) has anyone had any luck ? do they take longer ? thanks in advance

Both of my hens went broody. They managed to sit on them til they broke them, then off the eggs they came. I lost about 3 dozen total plus all the ones they would have laid.

I just take them and put them in the incubator or eat them.

Well I guess my Jerseys won't be sitting on any eggs, LOL

I just hatched a Jersey mutt, and she was the first one out, and a day early.
