My Broody left the nest for a quick bit to eat and frink and came back to the coup and sat on the nest with wooden eggs and left her clutch ..... how do i get her back on the right nest. i guess I could play "I spu" and wait for her to leave again then run out there and remove the wooden eggs...but she only leaves maybe once a day and it is hard to keep a watch. I tried to coax her into moving and got a good peck!

what should I do?

Mixed up Broody!

Mine did the exact same thing multiple times. I just picked her up and physically moved her, placing her back on the correct nest. Her pecks didn't hurt that much, if you are concerned about getting pecked - wear gloves. You need to get her back on the right eggs as soon as you can.

I agree, wear leather gloves and get her moved back on her eggs and then take away the wooden eggs from the other nest. If she stays off her eggs very long, they won't hatch.
