I dont think its standard procedure, but I just broke a stubborn one, previously I broke her by putting her in another coop for 3 days, the ice baths didn't work. This time not even putting her in the other coop worked, what finally did it was I took the brown nesting pad out to clean it and put a clean grey one in while it dried. She was so upset and made a racket for a few hours but never went back in. I put the original brown one back once it was dry, but apparently the whole ordeal upset her so bad it broke her. She's been off the nest for 2 days now. Finally!
Maybe changing something in her box would do the trick for you too?
