broody moving eggs?

This morning I noticed my broody hen off her nest and eating one of her eggs, then this afternoon I noticed another missing from her nest. I walked back towrds house and noticed her egg about 50 feet from nest still intact. Anyone experience this?

They'll eat, or remove (to some distance from nest), eggs judged to be `bad'.
