Our female muscovies have become broody. However they only sit on their eggs at night. During the day, they make their chirping noises and seem annoyed all the time, go swimming, hang out with the drakes, etc.... This process started about three days ago. I was planning on letting them hatch the eggs on their own but don't want the eggs to go bad. I am prepared to buy an incubator if needed. Is this normal behavior for them? I thought they would sit on the eggs most of the day and only get out to tend to their own needs for short periods. These girls are first timers so maybe that is what explains it?
