My red sex link, Round Chicken, has decided to go broody TWO FRICKIN DAYS before a big storm hits. I've taken her eggs and put her back on the roost but I don't know how I can break her if starting on Sunday we'll be stuck inside and the girls will be closed into their coop. I don't want her to hatch anything (I have no fertile eggs, no backup incubator, no parent support).
Please help!

You said you don't want her to hatch anything. So I assumed there was a rooster involved. It's hard to break her if she has to be locked up but just try to retreive the eggs so they don't go bad. When my girl goes broody, she doesn't lay any eggs. She steals everyone else's to sit on.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant that I don't want to use her to hatch anything else, so I have no reason to keep her broody.

She hasn't been laying, either- she's stealing everyone else's.

I've had red and black sexlinks and they never went broody. One is 5 years old and still laying. My broody girl is a Black Marans. She's been out of the nest a week now and I still haven't got an egg.

Basement tends to flood during storms, and I'm worried that with no power and little ventilation, the garage will be sweltering. Also, my parents won't want to get poop on the floor
The fan is a way of cooling her down to stop the broodyness. An old pan, or towel can put under the cage.

Not quite sure what else could be done in your situation.

The last option would be to just let her snap out of it by herself. I myself don't have a broody jail, so I just let them snap out of it.
