I have a 6 month old salmon faverolle who had been laying for only a month. She has been glued to the nest for the past 3 days. No eggs are under her. She pancakes, puffs, and growls when I poke under her. When I take her off the nest, she fluffs the bedding in the coop around her. I kick her out to the run, but I always find her back in the same nest. She is not pulling chest feathers like a broody would. Her abdomen feels normal and she doesnt seem sick. Probably broody?? I have never had one go broody so young, and in the fall.

My Olive Egger went broody before that, so it is possible for her to be broody at that age. I suggest that you break her broodiness, which can be done by putting her in broody jail. (Put a cage on top of another with no bottom so she has no privacy. Leaving her like in there for a few days should stop her.)
