My broody hen has rejected the eggs she has been setting on for the last two weeks. The nest has been torn apart, and the eggs scattered everywhere. I HAVE NO INCUBATOR! Can I jury-rig one? Right now I have the eggs in a large bowl, paddded with moist towels, under a heat lamp.

What else should I, can I, do?

Are you sure the broody hen did that?

Candle the eggs to make sure they are fertile. Whenever our broodies break up a nest or kick eggs out of the nest, it has been because the eggs weren't developing.

this is true~ but some are just BAD mothers...

Electric skillet with a towel under eggs maybe... but we didn't really have much success with that.... Maybe go with the crockpot...
