This goofy bird is broody so I thought I would let her hatch some eggs. The problem is that when I let her set on the eggs, the next morning I went out and she had changed nesting boxes and was sitting on a different egg.

I thought I would wait a while before leaving her with eggs, and I tried it again. The same thing. Any ideas?

The eggs were that of my other hens. I wondered if I should set up somewhere for her by herself. I will have to keep reading. We've never had a broody hen before so I was unsure of what to do. Thanks for your responses.

She is being pushed out by a different hen, she will just go to the next available nest, then when the other hen leaves she doesnt go back because she is on her NEW eggs. Good reason to seperate, and Mark all eggs you want her sitting on, because if others can get in with her they will add to her clutch till she has more eggs than she can handle, and it will give you a random hatch date, which she may not stay on till the last one hatches.
