Broody RIR gen, can I put eggs under her

I have a broody RIR, and I have (or may have) tomorrow morning egss from one of my bantams. Can I put the egg under the RIR (the bantam is right now in a dog run with a bantam roo, I got as a pair) and pray she can hatch it? This is all new, sorry for being so fresh to this...
