Can I break a silkie hen from her broodiness? My best silkie hen just went broody on me, darn it. I want the eggs from her
I'm thinking I should just give her some eggs to hatch and let her have at it, but if anyone thinks I can break her of it and get her back to laying sooner please let me know!
I bought her a couple of months ago. She was apparently taken off a clutch to come to the show where I purchased her. It took over a month for her and the other hen I purchased to start laying.
What am I better off doing? Letting her have some eggs or trying to break her broodiness? If the later, what's the best plan of action?
Thanks!
Kendra
