Broody Sussex now scared of me?☹

Well at the moment I cry at everything as I'm suffering from depression, anxiety and seizures. Sorry to mention it but my little ladies are my tonic at the moment so I may be a little overprotective
No apologies necessary! When you love your girls, it's easy to get emotional.

When my BO went broody, I was scared of her!

Just think though when you get old enough (I was 51) you go through MENopause, no more monthly visits. I had no menopause symptoms other than that.

Until I had my son (at 38) I used to have horrible 'Moon days," severe cramps, clots as big as puppies, running for bathroom often. After my son was born - all that disappeared. I didn't miss it at all.

True. I went through menopause (at 32) after an icky illness forced a hysterectomy. My moods are so even now. Cancer sucked, but no more monthly "gifts" is the BEST - a blessing in disguise!

I agree that my chickens have a great calming effect. As someone here said somewhere: "cheep" therapy.

@Crazy Chicken Helen I forgot to mention that my broody is back to normal now that she isn't broody. She's not scared of me and comes to say hi everytime I step into the yard. Your beloved Sussex will be back to normal soon, if she isn't already.

When Poppy, my girl, went broody, it was as if she was in a trance. It lasted a few weeks until I gave her a baby to raise. She snapped right out of it.
