broody tom

my midget white tom is sitting on my wild turkeys nest. she sat on it for a day and he has been on it for the last two no eggs have broke and he seems to be taking care of the nest. why is he doing this im sure it is not normal. and what can i do to get him to stop and will she take the eggs back thanks doug

Well, how very nice of him to give her a break.

I don't know much about turkeys, but hopefully someone who knows more will see this and help you out.
