Broody too long?

Hi. My 7 month old Buff Orp has been broody for 5 weeks with no eggs to hatch. Shouldn't she be done by now or is this normal when no chicks hatch out? I take her out once a day so she'll eat and drink because I haven't seen her do it on her own. Thanks for help.

I had mine going for 6+ weeks and she was seriously unbreakable. She finally got a chick though and snapped out of it.

I have a scovy duck who has been broody since January. Seriously.
She eats and is healthy and at a good weight, but the longest I have seen her off the nest is about 15 minutes when I walked by with a pitchfork and she followed me to get the worms that were in the dirt I was turning.

I had a BO this past Spring that set on air for 24 days...I finally put some eggs under her and she set for another 21 days so she could have chicks and get up!...lol
