My Fifi has never shown any interest in using a nesting box before. She'll just lay eggs wherever she feels like it. Today, for the first time, she used a box. She's laid an egg and is refusing to leave the box. Could she be broody? She's 7 months.

If she’s 7 months old, she is really young, chickens that are 6 months old start laying eggs at that age. She’s young and isn’t trained to go in nesting boxes, she finally realized that there are such thing as a nesting boxes and also realized that that is where you should lay eggs

Chickens are so funny!:lau

Ehhh... maybe.
She could just be a lounger, now that she's found the nests.

These are the signs I look for:
Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?
If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.
