Broody Turkey...Can She Hatch Chicken Eggs?

I did it, it works and she's just as happy with five chicks as she would have been with poults. She's puttering around the yard talking to them and defending them and showing them the ropes.
This has really helped me. Our turkey has taken over our hens favorite nesting box.
We don't have a tom and she has made us feel so guilty during mating season.
I have noticed her going in the coop to lay one egg for a couple of weeks now.
Last week I noticed that she would cover the eggs with the straw before leaving the nesting box. Each day she would be in there longer and longer. Yesterday she stayed the entire day. She normally roosts on our deck at night. I went to put the chickens to bed and she stayed.
The eggs that she is sitting on were all laid yesterday, but I have no clue if they are fertile or not. I normally wait until she leaves to gather the eggs.
Our chickens are 10 months and it seems the fertilization is hit or miss.
I am worried because the nesting boxes aren't set up for her size nor are they set up for hatching. I want to let her hatch them as I know how much she wants to be a mommy. But I am afraid of trying to move her and the eggs to a better location.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is exciting! My sweet turkey is laying on my chicken eggs and I just candled them and there is babies in them! We have 7 chickens and a rooster. Their free roam and I knew my turkey Christmas was brooding but what I didn’t know that she was laying on chicken eggs. I was wondering where our green eggs were and they are under our sweet girl . It’s good to know she will show them the ropes .
