Broody Will She Still Lay

If i have a broody hen will she still lay and if no how can I stop her from being broody how do I break this habbit?

No, she will stop laying until she is no longer broody. There are several ways to break her from being broody, but all hens are different, so you may have to try different options.

1. Keep removing her from the nest box. When she goes back up, get her down again.
2. Move the current nest box she sits on to another location.
3. Put ice cubes or an ice pack under her in nest box.
4. Make sure to collect eggs often so she is not sitting on any eggs.

i know that silkies are practicly KNOWN for being broody are they always broody will they even lay 100 eggs a year what should i expect if i get one?
