Broody with eggs

Well I just did it, I put the broody on the eggs I got from a friend on here! Thanks Niv!! I cant wait until 21 days are gone by! lol I have her in an extra large dog crate with a large wash pan in there for her as a nest. We put the eggs in the nest and then put her in, she fluffed up, looked around and started rearranging them to suit her. I havent been back to check on her since then as I want her to settle in nicely! Cross your fingers for us that these babies all hatch and live!!!!!!

edited to add that she is a Buff Orp and the eggs are either Lavendar or Black Orp eggs!

I have a food and water supply in there for her also and no other animals or chickens can get to her!

Congrats - hope it goes well. I keep hoping one of my BO's will go broody but so far....nada.

Since I didnt set her on the eggs until late that evening do I start counting on that day or should I start the countdown the next day?

Well we have 3 days until hatch day, she has been very diligently sitting on those eggs, she wont let us NEAR them, its so funny to hear her growl at us! lol
